Duties of the post:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Communities and Wellbeing Team at Adur and Worthing Councils in a newly developed role.

As Contextual Safeguarding Co-ordinator, you will work with the community, police and partner agencies, to pull together information and intelligence to respond to the risks faced by young people and vulnerable adults.

The role will be varied and fast paced. You will be responding to a variety of community safety issues which will include Child Sexual Exploitation, Modern Day Slavery, Anti Social Behaviour, Extremism and drug related activity.

We are looking for someone who can analyse information, produce reports, research best practice and contribute to innovative projects to help safeguard the vulnerable members of our community

The successful candidate will have strong admin skills, be an excellent team player with a passion for working with a diverse range of people and issues.

Please note - This role is based in Worthing Police Station. The successful candidate will need to be cleared through Sussex Police vetting procedures. Failure to clear vetting, will lead to a retraction of the offer of employment.
