Duties of the post: 

You will be required to provide a comprehensive supported housing service to tenants who would otherwise be at risk of failing in their tenancies and facing homelessness.  You will support people to sustain a tenancy and encourage and facilitate their independence, quality of life, health and well-being. Your main duties will be supporting Adur Homes in their tenancies. Ensuring tenants are not digitally or financially excluded and that they are aware of all support that is available to them, including comprehensive welfare benefit advice.

In working closely with the Housing Management Officers, you will provide a short term, intensive housing management service to those tenants who may be at risk of losing their tenancy .

Signposting tenants to relevant support agencies who can assist them with a range of matters and liaising with those agencies to achieve sustainable outcomes.

You will need to show empathy with and be aware of the needs of people who may be vulnerable for a variety of different reasons.

Experience of providing a support service to vulnerable people, excellent networking and communication skills and experience of using Google Suite would be desirable. You should be a self-starter and able to work with a minimum of supervision. You will be providing floating support to tenants in their own homes so will need a full driving licence.
