Salary: Grade 5 – £23,398 to £27,668 per annum pro - rata

Contract: Part time, Permanent

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Closing Date: 2nd March 2018

The Council’s Engineering Section undertakes a broad range of civil, municipal and environmental engineering work on behalf of both Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council.

An experienced and diligent Inspector / Clerk of Works is required to undertake routine inspections of Council hard surfaces and other assets. Assist with the supervision and inspection of civil construction work, site surveys and general assistance with the day to day running of the service.

You`ll also engage and consult with a wide range of stakeholders, from landowners, resinets, developers, contractors and other Council services. You`ll be comfortable communicating with people of all levels and proactive in your approach.

Starting salary will be dependent on experience, qualifications and ability. Applicants will need a full driving license.

The minimum qualification for the post:

  • Extensive experience within the Civil Engineering or Building Industry together with recognised Construction trade qualification.
